Fresh Air Units & Fresh Air Systems for Indian Homes and Offices
Breathe cleaner, healthier air every day. Astberg's range of fresh air units and fresh air systems brings filtered outdoor air into your home or workplace — removing PM2.5 particles, dust, allergens, VOCs, and stale air so every room feels fresh and comfortable.
Whether you need a compact fresh air unit for a single bedroom or a high-airflow fresh air system for a large open-plan office, Astberg offers solutions from 350 CMH to 750 CMH — all with multi-stage HEPA and carbon filtration.
Why Your Home Needs a Fresh Air System
Indoor air can be up to 5–10 times more polluted than outdoor air. In Indian cities where AQI regularly crosses 150–300, sealing windows to block pollution only makes indoor air worse. A dedicated fresh air unit solves this by:
• Drawing in outdoor air through HEPA and carbon filters
• Removing PM2.5, PM10, dust, pollen, and allergens before air enters your room
• Eliminating odours, cooking fumes, VOCs, and formaldehyde from indoor sources
• Maintaining positive air pressure to prevent infiltration of unfiltered air
• Continuously refreshing CO₂ levels — reducing fatigue, headaches, and poor sleep
Our Fresh Air Unit Range
AFP350R — Fresh Air Unit with HEPA Filter & Remote Control
• Airflow: 350 CMH | Duct: 150mm | Power: 150W

• Multi-stage HEPA filtration — captures particles down to 0.3 microns
• Remote control included — adjust speed and mode from anywhere in the room
• Ideal for: Bedrooms, living rooms, home offices (up to 150 sq ft)
AFV45 — Fresh Air Ventilation Unit with HEPA + Carbon Filter (450 CMH)
• Airflow: 450 CMH | Duct: 250mm | Dual-layer filtration
• HEPA filter for particulate removal + activated carbon for odour and VOC control
• Silent operation — suitable for bedrooms and study rooms
• Ideal for: Medium rooms, apartments, home offices (up to 220 sq ft)
AFV75 — Fresh Air Ventilation Unit with HEPA + Carbon Filter (750 CMH)
• Airflow: 750 CMH (650 m³/h effective) | Power: 130W | Colour: Black
• High-volume fresh air delivery for larger spaces
• Dual-stage HEPA + carbon filter for comprehensive air purification
• Ideal for: Open-plan homes, larger offices, commercial spaces
APB200 — Purification Filter Box (HEPA + Carbon, 8"/200mm)
• Standalone filter box — add fresh air purification to any existing duct system
• Multi-layer HEPA + activated carbon + dust filter stack
• 200mm (8-inch) duct diameter — compatible with most standard ventilation ductwork
• Ideal for: Retrofitting existing ventilation systems, server rooms, utility spaces
HEPA Filtration — What It Means for You
All Astberg fresh air units use True HEPA filters — the same filtration standard used in hospitals and cleanrooms. HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters capture:
• 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns or larger
• PM2.5 and PM10 particles from vehicle exhaust and construction dust
• Pollen and seasonal allergens
• Airborne bacteria and mould spores
• Fine dust from roads and industrial activity
Paired with our activated carbon filters, Astberg fresh air systems also neutralise odours, cooking fumes, pet smells, and harmful VOCs like formaldehyde from furniture and paints.
How to Choose the Right Fresh Air Unit
Step 1: Measure your room: length × width × height (in metres) = room volume in m³
Step 2: Multiply by target air changes per hour: Bedrooms = 6–8 ACH | Offices = 8–10 ACH | Kitchens = 15 ACH
Step 3: The result = minimum airflow in m³/h (same as CMH). Match to the product that meets or exceeds this.
Example: A 4m × 4m × 3m bedroom = 48m³. At 8 ACH = 384 CMH minimum → AFP350R (350 CMH) or AFV45 (450 CMH) is ideal.
Frequently Asked Questions — Fresh Air Units
Q: What is a fresh air unit?
A fresh air unit is a ventilation device that draws outdoor air into your home or office through a built-in filter system. Unlike air purifiers, which only recirculate indoor air, a fresh air unit continuously introduces new filtered air from outside — maintaining oxygen levels and removing accumulated indoor pollutants.
Q: Is a fresh air unit the same as an air purifier?
No. An air purifier recirculates indoor air through a filter but does not bring in fresh air from outside. A fresh air unit does both — it brings in fresh outdoor air and filters it before it enters the room. This is important for controlling CO₂ buildup, which air purifiers cannot address.
Q: Do fresh air units work without ducting?
Astberg's ducted fresh air units require a duct connection to an exterior wall or ceiling cavity to bring in outdoor air. For rooms where external ducting is not possible, the APB200 filter box can be added to existing ventilation ductwork.
Q: How often do I need to replace the HEPA filter?
Typical HEPA filter replacement interval is 6–12 months depending on usage and local air quality. In high-pollution areas (AQI consistently above 200), replace every 6 months for best performance. Carbon filters should be replaced every 3–6 months.
Q: Can Astberg fresh air units handle Indian dust and pollution?
Yes. Astberg fresh air units are specified for Indian conditions with multi-stage filtration: a pre-filter captures coarse dust and insects, the HEPA layer captures PM2.5 and fine particles, and the activated carbon layer removes VOCs and odours common in Indian urban environments.
Q: What is the price of a fresh air unit in India?
Astberg fresh air units are priced between ₹19,790 and ₹28,690. All units are sold online with free shipping on orders above ₹5,000 and PAN India delivery within 5 working days.
